Saskatchewan Minerals Inc. - Sodium Sulphate is Our Business

This issue of The Element is all about transparency — sharing with our customers and suppliers the realities behind our forecast for the year ahead. This is an opportunity for us to communicate with those of you who are important to our company about the information that is relevant to you.

Saskatchewan Minerals Inc. - Sodium Sulphate is Our Business

When we make business decisions at Saskatchewan Minerals, we try to keep our minds open to the needs and wants of our partners in business. That is why we want to share with you as much information as we can behind how we set our pricing and what you can expect to see and hear from us in the coming months.

Transparency in our pricing policies is about more than breaking down variables and exposing surcharges. It is a marker of the integrity of our pricing. We try to come out with our pricing model well before your budgets are being set so that we can work with you in setting fixed budgets for the coming year.

Part of how we do that is by committing ourselves to our fixed prices. By providing you with fixed pricing over longer terms, you can be sure that the cost of sodium sulphate will not be a surprise you have to worry about for the next 12 months. We are prepared to shoulder the risk of energy, transport and other cost variables without changing the cost to you.

Another way that we ensure that we have earned your trust for the year is with our commitment to quality. Our product quality is a cornerstone of who we are. Our customers demand a high quality, natural sodium sulphate so we will never deviate from our process.

Transparency in our pricing policies is about more than breaking down variables and exposing surcharges. It is a marker of the integrity of our pricing.

Customers’ needs change regularly throughout the course of business and our team prides itself on being able to adapt. Our team works proactively to ensure that we have the inventory to serve our customers throughout the coming months.

I asked Anita Stettner, Regional Accounts and Logistics Manager, to sum up this message for me and she said it easily: “Our customers can count on not only our price, but our supply and our ability to get them what they need.”

It’s what we have been doing for 60 years and it is what the future holds for us at Saskatchewan Minerals.
