A Few Words from Rod’s Corner

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, but we’re not waiting. Thank you for working with us to get through the past period of global economic uncertainty. With your support, and through proper governance and management, we have not only weathered the storm successfully, but have come out of these times a stronger company, more capable of providing the highest value to our sodium sulphate customers. Together we have met many challenges over the past few years and moved forward in the face of a worldwide downturn. Thank you all for helping make us better.

Proper risk management and forecasting will help us navigate our future economic environment and will allow us to maintain our role as a market leader and the highest value producer of sodium sulphate. In the accompanying video I have put together a few thoughts about emerging trends that will affect our pricing strategies going into 2011, and our responses to those trends. I encourage you to spend a few minutes to review it. My hope is that, as we enter the 2011 contract renewal season, you will have a clearer picture of our plans and strategies for the upcoming year. To highlight one tangible result of our energy management strategies, you will notice that there will be no energy surcharges on any sales contracts in this renewal season.

I hope that our efforts will prove helpful to all of our customers in 2011. We will continue to work hard to be your #1 commodity supplier. It’s our way of saying Thank you.

All the best for a strong final quarter,

Rodney J. McCann
